Watercolour on paper
Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp

These five watercolours from the MD–light Series are all about pleasure and enjoyment: they are visible in the subject matter but also visible in the manner of painting. They are about what is beautiful, attractive and exciting, in both an aesthetic and an aesthetical sense. In these works the suggestive power of painting and the explicitness of pornography lie unusually close.
